About the Program Assam Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme
The Assam Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme provides loans students pursuing higher studies with a one-time subsidy grant of INR 50,000 on their existing education loans, in a bid to alleviate their financial burden. The disbursement of the subsidy amount will be subject to the condition that the applicant has repaid a minimum of 25% of the sanctioned education loan amount.
Eligibility for this scheme
Open for permanent residents of Assam.The sanctioned loan amount must be more than INR 1 lakh.Applicants must take the education loan from a commercial banks (ex. - Federal Bank and HDFC ) or a rural bank to avail the benefit of this scheme.The commercial or rural banks must be recognized by the Reserve Bank of India
